The Sentinel English Language Institute
is a nonprofit organization that works to improve language instruction and facilitate nonfiction/creative writing in Sierra Leone.
SELI's purposes are based on the belief that when we write our independent thoughts in supportive, collaborative workshops, great strides in learning happen in terms of second-language acquisition, creative thinking, and cultural awareness.
We are dedicated to supporting teachers as they help students write both in extracurricular and in-school settings, and in their mother tongues or in English.
SELI is a project-based educational charity. Implementation of each project depends on financial support from individuals or donor agencies. Support SELI with your purchase of Fostering Young Writers in Sierra Leone, a book of middle school student personal experiences in Sierra Leone: https://www.createspace.com/3458058.
